This simple circuit operates with only 1.5 volts of a battery and detects low resistance making a small speaker produce sound. In this case, the transducer can be a 64-ohm phone capsule, for a more compact assembly. The resistor is 1/8W and the electrolytic capacitor can be made of tantalum for an ultra-compact assembly.
