This circuit, suggested by Motorola, provides a voltage of 15 V under a current of up to 2 A. The power transistor must be mounted on a good heat radiator and the 0.33 ohms resistor must be wired. This component determines the maximum output current of the source. The regulator integrated is the MC1723 and the numbers are for two different types of enclosures in which this integrated is found. The input voltage should be approximately 20 V.
