This circuit is suggested by Motorola and consists of a voltage reference based on an MC1403. The MC1403 integrated circuit consists precisely of a voltage reference having, in addition, an operational amplifier LM148 (or equivalent), which serves as a buffer and whose gain determines the final reference voltage. This voltage depends on R1 and R2 and can be calculated from the formula given next to the diagram. The power supply does not have to be symmetrical.
