With 3 flip-flops (which correspond to 1 integrated and a half) we can also make a divider by 8, as shown in the figure. In the third flip-flop, every 8 input pulses will have an output pulse. We note that when using one of the 4013 flip-flops, the unused inputs and Q outputs of the second flip-flop must be grounded for greater safety. The power must be between 3 and 15 V and the maximum input frequency depends on the power voltage, being around 10 MHz with 15 V.
