This circuit is self-powered, that is, the sinusoidal signal that must be converted into a square is rectified and serves to supply the trigger with two transistors. Of course, this means that the input sinusoidal signal must have the minimum intensity required for the operation of the transistors. Experimentally, components can be changed, specifically the resistors, to obtain the correct functioning of the circuit, with the available sinusoidal input voltage.
