We found this circuit in a 1987 documentation. Only the title distinguishes it from a common dimmer. Using a triac you can measure the power and voltage in a load with constant consumption. The triac must be according to the load mounted on an appropriate heat sink. The circuit also works on the 110 V network with a change of capacitor at the gate of the triac.
