The circuit in figure 12 is ideal for interfaces for microcomputers or digital circuits subject to Contact noise problems. When pressing S1, a perfectly rectangular pulse of duration determined by C1 is produced. The duration of the pulse does not depend on the duration by pressing of S, it should only be shorter, as shown by the output curve. C1 can therefore be changed depending on the desired duration for the output pulse.
