The transformer is an output type for transistor radios and the BC548 or BC238 type transistor must have a "C" gain range for greater circuit performance (the letters after the type of transistor, usually A, B and C, indicate their gain range, with "C" being the highest gain). The main switch, which turns the device on and off, can be connected to the potentiometer. The speaker is small at 8 ohms, and all resistors are 1 / 8W, with any tolerance.
