This circuit, suggested by Texas Instruments, is based on the integrated TL497A, designed for switched sources, and consisting of a switched regulator that allows obtaining negative 5 V voltages from a positive source of the same voltage. The maximum output current is 100mA and the ripple voltage is 50 mV, which corresponds to approximately 1%.
