This infrared “radar” was found in a 2000 documentation. Its range varies between 20 cm and 1 meter and can be used as a motion sensor for relays and other purposes. The circuit can trigger a relay instead of the indicator LED. Its supply voltage can be 5 to 9 V which allows it to be used as a shield for microcontrollers.
