We found this 3-digit digital odometer for bicycles (or another application) in a 1995 documentation. The circuit uses a reed switch as a sensor that is activated by a magnet attached to the wheel rim (or another moving part, for another application). The circuit is CMOS and can be powered by 4 standard batteries. The displays are common cathode types.
