This circuit is from 1985 serving only for incandescent lamps for a maximum power that depends on the diodes and SCRs. In this case, somewhere around 2 A for 1N4004 or 1N4007. SCRs must be provided with heat sinks. The power transformer can have 6 to 9 V of secondary and current from 500 mA to 1 A.
