The TPA3100D2 integrated circuit from Texas Instruments (www.ti.com) consists of an efficient class D amplifier with 8-ohm output, suitable for home sound equipment. The high-efficiency circuit can use 8-ohm speakers and can be supplied with voltages from 10 V to 26 V. The efficiency reaches 92% and it has gain selection and differential inputs. The TPA31002 integrated circuit can be found in 48-pin QFN or HTQFP surface-mount housings. With the high gain presented, the integrated circuit eliminates the use of heat sinks. Gains can be selected between values of 20,26, 32 and 36 db.
