With this regulator we can have currents of up to 4 amps with 5V at the output. The transistor can be replaced with equivalent 10 A Darlingtons and must be mounted on a good heat radiator. The suffix H indicates that the LM109 has a metal casing with the pinout shown next to the diagram.
