This regulated power supply can provide currents up to 1 A to a load. The transformer may actually have secondary from 7.5 to 12 V with 1 A current and the integrated circuit must be mounted on a heat radiator. Other voltages can be obtained with the change of IC1, but the transformer must always have a 2 V more than the desired output voltage.
