The advantage of this circuit lies in the fact that it does not need a negative source to generate regulated negative output voltages from 0 V. We find the circuit in a 1998 publication. The circuit can be used for currents up to 3 A with the LM350T. In both cases, the integrated circuit must be provided with a good heat radiator.
