Using a 4018 IC and one gate of the 4081 it is possible to divide the frequency of digital signals by seven. The circuit shown bellow is the configuration for this task. Since seven is an odd number, some external logic is needed. In this case, one gate of a 4081 is used. The maximum input frequency when using a power supply of 10 V is 9 MHz.
