This alternating voltage voltmeter was found in a 1967 magazine. The magazine no longer exists, but the circuit can still be assembled with only the original germanium transistors as critical components. However, these transistors can be replaced by more modern silicon transistors such as BC558 for PNP and BC548 for NPN than any changes in bias resistors.
