With this voltage regulator we can build a source of 1.7 to 17 volts and a maximum current of 1.5 A. The base is the voltage regulator circuit LM317 which must be mounted on a good heat radiator. Potentiometer R1 adjusts output voltage and electrolytic capacitors must have minimum working voltages of 35 V except that of 2 200 uF which must be at 50 V or more.
