The Texas TL783 integrated circuit is a three-terminal high voltage regulator with a wide range of practical applications as it can operate at 20 to 125 volts input voltages with a peak output current exceeding 1 amp. The suggested circuit provides a voltage of 48 volts for telephone equipment applications. The output voltage is given by the formula which depends on R2 and R1 in addition to the reference voltage.
