With good filtration, a battery charger can be used as a power source. The filter shock can be the secondary 12 + 12 V of a 500 to 800 mA transformer and the potentiometer must be wire. The circuit is from a 1966 Spanish publication. The voltage obtained depends on the charger, but will normally be between 6 and 15 V.
