This circuit was obtained in a Popular Electronics magazine in March 1991. The circuit generates signals up to about 20 MHz, depending on the frequency of the crystal. The transistors can be BC548 or 2N2222. The strength of the output signal varies between 2 and 6 Vpp. The supply is made with a voltage of 12 V. For frequencies below 1 MHz, C1 and C2 are 2n7. For frequencies between 1 and 5 MHz, they are 680 pF and for frequencies between 5 and 20 MHz, 220pF.
