With this circuit it is possible to obtain a voltage of 24 V using a 12 V regulator. The maximum current is 1 A and the transistor can be a BC548. The integrated circuit must be mounted on a heat radiator and the input must be between 27 V and 40 V. Other voltages greater than 12 V can be obtained by changing R1 and R2.
