We found this circuit in Texas Instruments' Linear Circuits Applications. It is a peak detector whose voltage peaks to be detected depend on the resistor and the capacitor with no value in the diagram. The capacitor is typically 10 nF and the resistor can assume values between 10k and 100k. The power supply must be symmetrical.
