We found this circuit in a publication by Radio Shack in 1975. The pulse transformer has a low voltage winding with 100 turns and a high voltage with 1000 turns in a small ferrite rod. The wire can be 32. The inverter transformer can be a small 6 V x 300 mA transformer with a 220 V primary.
