In the figure we show how it is possible to use the 4013 integrated circuit in the monostable configuration. The time that the outputs remain activated depends on the values of R and C (time constant). The diode can be of any type of general use and the supply can be made with voltages between 3 and 15 volts. Note that the 4013 has two equal flip-flops and that in this application only one of them is used.
