This new AMS device consists of a digital color sensor and proximity sensor that also incorporates an infrared LED. Its 1.8 V interface is I2C compatible and has a dynamic range of 200 mililux to 80 klux.
The device provides information about the relative intensities of the basic colors (blue, green, and red) being indicated for applications in ambient light sensing, camera image enhancement, proximity detection, and color management of displays.
The enclosure is small in size with only 4 x 1.75 x 1 mm and it has consumer management features. In the figure below your block diagram.
