The circuit seen in the figure can generate triangular, sinusoidal, and rectangular signals of frequencies in the range of 0.001 Hz to 100 kHz, depending on the capacitor connected to pin 10 and the resistor to pin 11. These components can be changed at will according to the application. Intersil's ICL8038 circuit is specific to this function and the configuration is that of the manufacturer manual itself.
