This circuit, found in an old 1967 publication, cuts the current from a source when the current exceeds the value determined by resistor R8. This value corresponds to a voltage drop of approximately 0.7 V that transistor TR1 conducts at the desired current. Transistors admit equivalents according to the current desired for the trigger.
