Incandescent lamps of up to a few amps can be placed to flash with this circuit. The frequency depends on capacitor C which can have values between 100 nF and 10 uF. The power field effect transistor supports equivalents and must be mounted on a heat radiator. The resistor of 1 can be replaced by a 1 potentiometer of the same value in series with a resistor of 10 k ohms to have a frequency adjustment. The 555 admits replacement by the CI 7555 CMOS.
