The photocontrol that we give in this project of a 1982 documentation allows to activate a circuit for a determined time, both by the incidence of a beam of light on a sensitive element and by its cut, according to the position of S2. You can use this circuit as a light alarm (incidence or cut), as a remote control for opening garage doors by the car's headlight, and in many other interesting applications. The use of a diode bridge in the load circuit allows to obtain full power in the load, which cannot be achieved simply with an SCR.
