With this simple converter found in a 1997 documentation, it is possible to tune VHF stations to a common AM receiver. L1 and L3 are 10 uH micro inductors. L2 is formed by 2 to 4 turns of wire 18 with a diameter of 1 cm without core, according to the tuned band that can reach 200 MHz. The antenna is telescopic, and the AM receiver is tuned around 1 MHz.
