The author of this project found in a 1980 documentation gives the radio in two versions: the first using a crystal phone and the second using an output transformer and a small speaker. Of course, this circuit simply detects all radio signals picked up by the antenna, which must be at least 10 m long, so that only the signal from the strongest station is heard. In short, it is a radio with no tuning. The reduced size is since it uses only one diode that can be the type 1N34, 1N60 or any other germanium equivalent.
