The astable circuit in the figure makes it possible to obtain flashes at the frequency of 1 Hz of a 250mA lamp of maximum current, under a voltage of 12 V. The circuit can be used as a signal for cars, or in other similar applications. The frequency of pulsations is given by capacitor C1, which can be increased for longer intervals. With 10 uF pulsations are obtained at 10-second intervals. The S1 switch is used as a control for this circuit, activating it without having to act on the supply. Transistor Q2 must be mounted on a heatsink. The grounding condition of unused inputs is also valid.
