What differentiates this circuit from the many versions with the 4017, presented in our publications is the use of an astable multivibrator with transistors such as clock. The circuit can be powered by voltages from 6 to 9 V and the frequency control is done by a potentiometer that must only be in series with a 22k resistor and not grounded as in the original 1997 circuit.
