This 1997 article was originally created to control loads from a PC's parallel port. However, due to the characteristics of the signals used, it can also be used as a shield for microcontrollers, adapting the number of outputs. The circuit has a 5 V supply and a 5, 6 or 12 V supply depending on the relay.
