This symmetrical +5 V and 12 V x 50 mA power supply with MAX610 from Maxim was found in an integrated circuit manual from the 1980s. The circuit can be changed to operate on the 110 V network with an increase from C1 to 2 .2 uF. This capacitor must be polyester for 400 V or 600 V.
