This interesting transistor configuration, which can be seen elsewhere on this website and in this section, was found in a French documentation from the 1980s. The circuit uses general purpose transistors, and the capacitor determines the frequency and can have values between 10 nF and 10 uF typically. The potentiometer adjusts the frequency. The circuit can act as a shield.
