The CMOS oscillator illustrated in the figure has a frequency that depends on the temperature sensor, a nominal NTC value (at room temperature) between 20 k ohms and 1M ohms. Capacitor C from 1 nF to 1 µF determines the frequency at room temperature and the frequency range that will be swept when the sensor changes its temperature. For a 20k ohm sensor and a 1 nF capacitor, the frequency at room temperature will be on the order of 1 MHz, which is the maximum recommended value for the application.
