Figure bellow shows how many 40293 can be cascaded. The input CI of the first circuit is grounded. The output CD of this circuit is connected to the input CI of the next. This circuit is parallel clocking, but it is also possible to cascade the circuits for ripple clocking. In this case, all the inputs Cl are grounded and the output CD of each block is connected to the CLK input of the next. The maximum operation frequency is 7.4 MHz when the circuit has a power supply of 10 V.
