Here we show a simple way to use the 4088 or 4018 as a latched switch. The output can drive stages, as many of those suggested in this section The circuit can also be used to directly drive CMOS inputs. In the latched mode, the switch remains on after the control pulse is gone. The maximum current through the switch may not exceed the dissipation capabilities of the device.
