This circuit allows fluorescent lamps to be powered up to 40 W from 12 V car batteries. The transformer windings are made as follows: 10-wire primary 20 and then 10-wire 25 additional. turns, then 220 turns and then 8 turns of 28 wire. The transistor should be mounted on a heatsink.
