This circuit allows coupling optical signals to a TTL input with excellent performance. Among the possible applications we suggest the use in fiber optic links. The photo transistor is Texas, which suggests the application, but equivalents can be tried. The operating is powered by two voltages (5 V simple and 15 V symmetrical).
