We find the diagram presented in a 1966 publication; It is a source with several voltages, regulated by two regulating gas voltage regulators of the type VR150. These valves are old zeners, maintaining a fixed voltage of 150 V between their terminals. Two of them in series maintains the circuit voltage at 300 V. In addition to the valves the other critical component of the circuit is the transformer. This transformer will basically determine the maximum output current as well as the 10 k wire resistor. Note that the high voltage secondary voltage of the transformer is 250 + 250 V.
