This circuit is from an Electronics Now, American magazine from December 1992. The magazine no longer exists, but the circuit can be easily assembled, as all components are common. The circuit generates a high voltage that causes a neon lamp to flash. The transformer can be of the type of supply with low winding of 6 to 9 V and current between 100 and 300 mA.
