This oscillator, from an old Argentine publication from 1973, uses the inductance of the 500 ohms to 2k handset to form the oscillator circuit. The transistor is made of germanium, but silicon equivalents such as BC558 can be tested, increasing the source voltage to 6 V. The adjustment pot is 47k.
