In the figure we have the simple way to simulate an OR gate with a transistor. The keys simulate the inputs establishing the logical levels of the outputs. You can monitor the output with an LED connecting in series with R2. The supply voltage can also be changed to 6 to 9V. The transistor is the BC548.
