This circuit can be used as a base for a power supply up to 500mA with the recommended transistor or more with the TIP31 or TIP41. The transistor must have a heat radiator and the power supply must be symmetrical. Vz is 12V and the output voltage is adjusted in P1. The circuit is from a book by Newton C. Braga.
