The output of this circuit must be connected to the input of an audio amplifier. The microphone is a small 8-ohm speaker, and the symmetrical power is obtained from two 9 V batteries. The circuit has a filter that allows the passage of only low sounds. We found this configuration in a 1977 documentation.
