This circuit is from an old publication from the 70s, but it can be implemented with modern diacs and triacs and cargo according to the triac. The load must be resistive and the LDR can be of any common type. Two-terminal diacs can be used, leaving the ground connection disconnected in the original circuit. The circuit also works with 220 V and the use of components for this voltage.
